So the church throughout all Judea and Galilee and Samaria had peace and was being built up. And walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, it multiplied. Acts 9:31 ESV

Walking in the comfort of the Holy Spirit is reassuring, and I am still amazed that he dwells in me. All I have to do is whisper to get his attention — no appointment needed.

God doesn’t build his church by conquering lands; he wins over hearts. And if we have enough humility to acknowledge his divinity, then our eyes are opened to seeing his work in and around us.

Our spiritual ears become more sensitive to his voice, transforming our prayers into two-way conversations. The Holy Spirit’s voice is rarely audible, but he speaks by inspiring our thoughts and impressions. He supernaturally enhances our understanding, making clear his scriptures and lessons, and showing us how to apply them in our daily living.

He is our Wonderful Counselor, always available when we need him. Taking five minutes to pause and reconnect is all it takes to ground yourself back into his presence. Psalm 46:10 says to “Be still and know that I am God.” Sit with that for a moment and he will show you what that means to you.

The God of the universe promises an unbreakable union with anyone who proclaims Jesus as their Lord. Even when our bodies break down and waste away, our souls will be housed with him forever, in Heaven.
