Blessed is the One Who Trusts in You

For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor. No good thing does he withhold from those who walk uprightly. O Lord of hosts, blessed is the one who trusts in you! (Psalm 84:11-12 ESV)

The brightest of days when we are able to see all the glory of God in heaven. Revelation 22:4-5 says: “They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. And night will be no more. They will need no light of lamp or sun, for the Lord God will be their light, and they will reign forever and ever.” Until that day comes, God will continue to light our paths and cover us with his favor.

Yes, there will be difficulties and we must welcome the as opportunities to strengthen our spirit and faith. When we live upright, we can stand tall and be confident that God is always with us. There is no need for us to hide or sneak around. We are encouraged to proudly proclaim Jesus as our King and live out his attributes so that people see him and not us.

Is our love for him evident in our speech and conduct? Does our very being leak out Scripture so that therett is no mistake about whose child we are? Will everyone be able to point to you and say: Now there he goes, a man of God?

Every good thing that our Father approves is given us. And if he is the standard of goodness, then that would mean that he also does not withhold himself. What an amazing privilege it is to be communing with our Creator, to receive his love and have access to his Spirit! If you really understand who it is that you worship, then prayer and devotion become your greatest delight!

Yes, my Lord, “blessed is the one who trusts in you!”
