The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. (John 10:10 ESV)
What the devil stolen from you lately? What are the things that he is trying to kill and destroy? Is it your faith? Maybe your hope? Dis you have a bad season of health or economic strain? Are your relationships suffering because of a hurt or unresolved conflict? All of these things are the work of Satan, the thief. He is determined to steal more souls away from God, and he uses the hardships of this world to keep them from ever flourishing from the word of God.
Only Jesus can bring complete restoration and empowerment to those who trust in him. He is the author of life and he wants us to experience fullness in all areas of it. When our eyes are fixed on him and his commandments, we begin to reap the benefits of faith. He is omnipresent, continuously working inside of us to be more like him, and he working outside of us orchestrating circumstances and miracles that bring glory to him.
An abundant life is one lived in the presence of the Jesus where a person experiences with full relationship with God. There is so much more to the here and now, but we must learn and grow from it. In a practical sense, we need to allow God to be our parent. When we surrender ourselves to him in faith, he will be sure work all things out for our good.
