All is Well in God’s Favor

But let all who take refuge in you rejoice; let them ever sing for joy, and spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may exult in you. For you bless the righteous, O Lord; you cover him with favor as with a shield. (Psalm 5:11-12 ESV)

Have you experienced the joy of walking in God’s favor? There is no fear of ridicule or failure because the Lord will help you. His forgiveness wipes away your shame and his love comforts you when you need it most. He is the one that supplies you with strength, wisdom, and understanding. And his peace creates in you a sense of calm and unwavering confidence. He leads you on solid ground so that you don’t stumble and the work of your hands prospers under his supervision. Whatever he wills for your life is guaranteed and can never be overturned.

He blesses those who love him and revere his name. Complete joy can be found in the Lord if we eagerly search for it with eyes of gratitude. Sometimes we forget how much he has done for us because we only focus on what we don’t have. But if we pay attention, his Spirit will reveal all the grace and blessings he has given us thus far. And if our hearts are not stirred by what he shows us, then we are to be pitied because we allowed the world to blind us with dark sorrows.

May the Lord forgive our stubborn hearts and our impoverished thinking. Instead of focusing on our deficit, may he help us see all his riches and generosity! Living in God’s favor is a privilege that we must never take for granted. When we find ourselves under his majestic covering, we can smile and sing for joy because we know all will be well with our souls.
