God’s sheltering comfort

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. (Psalm 91:1 ESV)

Living under God’s protection gives rest to the tired, comfort to the afflicted, and reassurance to the discouraged. When the devil speaks a lie about you, may the Lord’s voice roar truth about your identity in Christ and how much he loves you unconditionally.

Let your mind and heart rest in his hands, and allow his grace and forgiveness to relieve you from all anxiety and fear. You have value and you are loved because “The Lord records as he registers the peoples, ‘This one was born there’” (Psalm‬ ‭87:6‬ ‭ESV‬‬). He knows your name and the state of your heart. He accepts you as you are, but he doesn’t want to you stay that way. So he will slowly prune away anything that doesn’t benefit you and will heal the wounds that you have acquired. He is remolding you into his image so that your character becomes more like Jesus.
