The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!  (Psalm‬ ‭27:1, 14‬ ‭ESV‬‬)

When life doesn’t seem to go as planned, or when troubles never seem to go away, I shall continue to depend on the Lord to comfort and deliver me.

• The Lord is my light and he will eliminate darkness.  His truths will prevail and his guidance will always reassure me.
• The Lord is my salvation.  He has already given me eternal life because I have accepted Jesus as my Savior.  Eternity began on the day of my conversion.
• The Lord is the stronghold of my life.  Though my body may perish, my soul and spirit will continue to live because the Lord keeps me.  No one can pluck me out of his hand.  He will one day give me a new body and a new home in Heaven where I will continue to enjoy his presence and experience new adventures. I no longer have to fear death.

I will wait on the Lord and never lose hope. I will never curse God when life becomes unbearable. I remember that my Father is almighty, powerful, patient, and loving.  I am a child of God because he told me so.
